Though it all started sometime back between Lenovo and Razer, their synergetic partnership is dormant. Razer is the world leader in providing high quality hardware, software and gaming accessories, exclusively for gamers; whereas Lenovo as we all know, is a world class personal computer vendor. Leaving it behind, Lenovo is all set ready to launch its new brand named Legion. In competition to Acer Predator and Asus’ Republic of Gamers, Legion is especially designed for hard core gamers. Proving it to be very affordable, Legion is all in news world over as expectations are too high.

The Lenovo Legion series has two laptops of 15.6 inch, as Y520 and Y720 that have been announced here at Consumer Electronics Show at Las Vegas. The specifications would interest the gamers as both the laptops have 7th gen core processors, where the Y720, the higher end series has quad core i7 7700 HQ and the Y520 is the more affordable of the two laptops. With a better display (3840×2160), large battery of 60 Watt-hour, multicolored keyboard, backlight, better speakers, and high quality Nvidia GeForce GTX graphics card, all make it a must buy for gamers.
Lenovo is very serious towards the objective of entering the gaming world and virtual reality. The Y720 is very special as it is the first laptop with Dolby Atmos Audio technology. With certain interesting features, the Y520 is available at a price starting $900 and the Y720 starts at $1,400. The Legion Y720 resembles the design of Ideapad Y series and is in healthy competition with other gaming brands.
The laptop includes an Xbox One controller receiver option, 4K screen, effective battery backup with high rating – 5 hours for Y720 and 4 hours for Y520. The best attraction this season is the price of the laptops offering a New Year gift to gamers. The Y720 is being considered as a potential VR machine, offering Thunderbolt/USB Type C port, long battery life and media library as Entertainment Hub. Gaming through the Entertainment Hub would be a little strange for gamers this time. Both the laptops are ready to launch in the month of April to be a treat for the gaming world. Being the first to include Dolby Atmos sound, the Y720 will definitely have an upper hand and would stand out in the market.
