Apple to Launch Three New iPad Pro Tablets in 2017

Apple seems to believe that Tablets will surely be in high demand this year, and is ready to grasp the opportunity by launching new three tablets in the second quarter of year 2017. They are expected to be new series of tablets, not mere upgrades of iPads as confirmed by KGI Securities Analyst, Ming-Chi Kuo.

Ming-Chi Kuo has been regularly been excellently predicting the latest developments of Apple and has proved to be right more often than anybody. Going by his words, one of the new iPad is going to be a 9.7-inch model, a more affordable option in the year 2017 for Apple lovers. The company would also launch a 12.9-inch model, that would be an updated version of the current iPad Pro, and also a new Pro model featuring new designs with a screen size of around 10 to 10.5 inches.

It can be assumed that Apple is ready to launch all three new tablets and dominate the market this year. It is predicted that both the 12.9 inch and 10 inch iPad Pro models would have the A10 chip featured in iPhone 7 known as “A10X”. This chip would be manufactured by the company named Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company.

According to Kuo, the budget model of 9.7 inch would feature the A9 chip which was used in iPhone 6s. This chip would be manufactured by Samsung.

The analysts have further predicted that there would be 10% drop in the shipments for this year. Though, in the year 2016, it was much more. Kuo predicts that there would be substantial demand for 9.7 inch and 10 inch iPad models and would account 50-60 % of the total shipments. The iPad mini was last updated in September 2015; and since then, Apple has been focusing on the Pro models with magnetic Smart Connectors and Pencil Support.

Apple’s iPad Mini still features an outdated version A8 processor which Apple does not use in its iPhone. There were reports earlier from Mac Rumors also related to the bezel less display design of iPads. The shrinking tablet market needs some re-designing by Apple to boost the sales once again.
